Sales up 55%, net jumps 156%

Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Shivalik Bimetal Controls for the quarter ending Sep 2021 has increased 54.56% to Rs 76.23 crore.

Operating profit margin has jumped from 15.23% to 23.39%, leading to 137.42% rise in operating profit to Rs 17.83 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 55.27% to 51.18%. Employee cost decreased from 9.76% to 8.66%. Other expenses fell from 21.06% to 18.04%.

Other income rose 25.77% to Rs 1.22 crore. PBIDT rose 124.65% to Rs 19.05 crore. PBDT rose 130.33% to Rs 18.68 crore. Provision for depreciation rose 4.20% to Rs 1.49 crore.

Profit before tax grew 157.34% to Rs 17.19 crore. Share of profit/loss was 115.38% higher at Rs 0.84 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 4.48 crore, compared to Rs 1.79 crore. Effective tax rate was 24.85% compared to 25.32%.

Minority interest was nil in both the periods. Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 156.63% to Rs 13.55 crore.

Half yearly performance

Net sales (including other operating income) of Shivalik Bimetal Controls has increased 88.28% to Rs 146.54 crore. Operating profit margin has jumped from 14.02% to 22.98%, leading to 208.62% rise in operating profit to Rs 33.67 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 54.89% to 52.33%. Employee cost decreased from 10.52% to 8.21%. Other expenses fell from 21.53% to 18.02%.

Other income rose 25.30% to Rs 2.08 crore. PBIDT rose 184.41% to Rs 35.75 crore. Provision for interest rose 5.26% to Rs 0.8 crore. PBDT rose 195.94% to Rs 34.95 crore. Provision for depreciation rose 2.82% to Rs 2.92 crore. Profit before tax grew 257.08% to Rs 32.03 crore. Share of profit/loss was 315.63% higher at Rs 1.33 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 8.21 crore, compared to Rs 2.36 crore. Effective tax rate was 24.61% compared to 25.40%.

Minority interest was nil in both the periods. Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 262.91% to Rs 25.15 crore.
