During the month of July 2022, Castings, Forgings &Fastners sector's Marketcap increased 9.89% to Rs 134455.57 crore, compared to 9.58% rise in total listed marketcap to Rs 26746947.78 crore.

Sector's share of total listed marketcap moved to 0.5% in July 2022 from 0.5% in June 2022 and 0.51% in July 2021. 


In terms of price appreciation in the sector, there were 31 gainers and 6 losers in the month of Jul 2022. The gainers accounted for 68.89% of sector companies, losers accounted for 13.33% of sector companies, while 8% remained unchanged.

The top 3 gainers were Universal Auto.  (89.78% gain), Hilton Met.Forg. (31.33% gain) and Pradeep Metals   (30.89% gain).

The 3 losers at the bottom were DCM              (-33.06% fall), Poojawes. Metal. (-19.48% fall) and Carnation Inds.  (-9.18% fall).

During the month Sundram Fasteners Ltd, Aditya Forge Ltd, Pradeep Metals Ltd, National Fittings Ltd, Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd, Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd and Mahindra CIE Automotive Ltd announced their results. Of these Sundram Fasteners Ltd, Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd and Mahindra CIE Automotive Ltd reported rise in net profit attributable to shareholders. Companies like Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd and Pradeep Metals Ltd reported fall in net profit attributable to shareholders.



Companies like National Fittings Ltd and Aditya Forge Ltd reported loss to profit

PTC Industries Ltd company became ex-rights.

Bharat Forge Ltd, Nelcast Ltd, Pradeep Metals Ltd, Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd, Steelcast Ltd and Taparia Tools Ltd became ex-dividend.

FIIs increased their shareholding in Electrosteel Castings Ltd from 16.36% to 16.69%, AIA Engineering Ltd from 18.08% to 18.13%, Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd from 13.51% to 13.56%, Sundram Fasteners Ltd from 11.70% to 11.74%, M M Forgings Ltd from 0.78% to 0.83% and Sterling Tools Ltd from 0.00% to 0.01%. FIIs reduced their shareholding in Nelcast Ltd from 0.17% to 0.03%, Bharat Forge Ltd from 19.80% to 18.82% and Mahindra CIE Automotive Ltd from 10.66% to 6.85%.

DIIs increased their shareholding in Bharat Forge Ltd from 23.38% to 24.23%, Mahindra CIE Automotive Ltd from 7.02% to 7.73%, Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd from 14.32% to 14.39% and Sundram Fasteners Ltd from 17.56% to 17.60%. DIIs reduced their shareholding in Electrosteel Castings Ltd from 2.10% to 1.97%, AIA Engineering Ltd from 20.27% to 20.11%, Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd from 5.37% to 4.93% and M M Forgings Ltd from 19.11% to 17.59%.
