Som Distilleries announced the start of trial production for its enhanced beer capacity at Hassan plant in Karnataka. The company expects the commercial production to start within the next fortnight.
"This will significantly increase our production capacity, enabling us to better serve our customers and meet the growing demand for our products. With a focus on quality, flavour, and sustainability, we are committed to delivering superior beer that meets the needs of our customers while also minimizing our impact on the environment," the company said in a statement.
Som Distilleries and Breweries is primarily engaged in brewing, fermentation, bottling, canning and blending of beer and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). It also supplies draught beer from its plants.
On a consolidated basis, Som Distilleries & Breweries reported net profit of Rs 10.52 crore in Q3 December 2022 as against net loss of Rs 1.13 crore in Q3 December 2021. Net sales rose 66.12% YoY to Rs 148.51 crore in Q3 December 2022.
