Profit before tax stood at Rs 228.87 crore, up 10.7% YoY in the quarter ended 31 March 2023.
The company's consolidated net profit slipped 59.9% to Rs 270.79 crore in FY23 from Rs 675.11 crore in FY22. Net sales decreased 5.5% YoY to Rs 2,125.81 crore in the year ended March 2023.
The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 5 per equity share for the financial year ended 31 March 2023, subject to the approval of shareholders.
Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores is the flagship company of the Karnataka-based Sandur Group. It is involved in mining of low phosphorous manganese and iron ore in the Hosapete-Ballari region of Karnataka. It also manufactures ferro-alloys (silico-manganese) at its plant in Vyasankare, near Hospet.
The scrip jumped 7.45% to Rs 1,313.40 on the BSE.
