NTPC Ltd fell 3.19% today to trade at Rs 233.45. The S&P BSE Utilities index is down 1.7% to quote at 3636.54. The index is up 1.47 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, JSW Energy Ltd decreased 2.38% and Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd lost 2.19% on the day. The S&P BSE Utilities index went down 5.86 % over last one year compared to the 11.98% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

NTPC Ltd has lost 1.02% over last one month compared to 1.47% gain in S&P BSE Utilities index and 0.93% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 2.38 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 8.28 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 251.5 on 29 Sep 2023. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 158.8 on 03 Oct 2022.
