Vedanta Ltd is up for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 226.75, up 1.34% on the day as on 12:44 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.58% on the day, quoting at 19098.4. The Sensex is at 63943.66, up 0.55%. Vedanta Ltd has slipped around 1.73% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Metal index of which Vedanta Ltd is a constituent, has slipped around 5.43% in last one month and is currently quoting at 6359.9, up 1.08% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 29.49 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 90.82 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark November futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 228.1, up 1.45% on the day. Vedanta Ltd is down 25.14% in last one year as compared to a 5.79% jump in NIFTY and a 5.93% jump in the Nifty Metal index.

The PE of the stock is 3.85 based on TTM earnings ending June 23.
