In the cash market, The Nifty 50 index lost 33.40 points or 0.17% to settled at 19,731.80.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, advanced 1.54% to 11.83.

State Bank of India (SBI), ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
