Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd (down 3.1%), Lupin Ltd (down 2.95%),Rajnish Wellness Ltd (down 2.63%),Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 1.75%),Dr Lal Pathlabs Ltd (down 1.47%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 1.42%), Shalby Ltd (down 1.41%), Strides Pharma Science Ltd (down 1.35%), Sastasundar Ventures Ltd (down 1.3%), and Jagsonpal Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 1.29%).

On the other hand, Aarti Pharmalabs Ltd (up 12.23%), Panacea Biotec Ltd (up 6.44%), and Themis Medicare Ltd (up 5.11%) moved up.

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 1067.92 or 1.58% at 68549.11.

The Nifty 50 index was up 347.55 points or 1.71% at 20615.45.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 437.02 points or 1.08% at 41002.98.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 116.14 points or 0.97% at 12142.71.

On BSE,2474 shares were trading in green, 1303 were trading in red and 194 were unchanged.
