Provision for depreciation rose 82.17% to Rs 2.86 crore. Profit before tax down 3.86% to Rs 10.96 crore. Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 3.58 crore, compared to Rs 3.39 crore. Effective tax rate was 32.66% compared to 29.74%. Minority interest was nil in both the periods. Net profit attributable to owners of the company decreased 7.87% to Rs 7.38 crore.

PBIT of Health care segment fell 2.97% to Rs -0.70 crore (accounting for -6.40% of total PBIT).
- PBIT margin of Communications and signal Processing products segment rose from 17.50% to 22.45%. PBIT margin of Health care segment fell from negative 559.57% to negative 626.07%. Overall PBIT margin rose from 16.48% to 21.05%.
Full year results analysis.
Net sales (including other operating income) of Avantel has increased 45.27% to Rs 224.37 crore. Sales of Communications and signal Processing products segment has gone up 45.54% to Rs 225.22 crore (accounting for 99.75% of total sales). Sales of Health care segment has gone up 202.92% to Rs 0.57 crore (accounting for 0.25% of total sales).
Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 95.11% to Rs 71.54 crore. PBIT of Communications and signal Processing products segment rose 86.51% to Rs 74.47 crore (accounting for 104.10% of total PBIT). PBIT of Health care segment rose 10.13% to Rs -2.93 crore (accounting for -4.10% of total PBIT).
PBIT margin of Communications and signal Processing products segment rose from 25.80% to 33.07%. PBIT margin of Health care segment rose from negative 1,732.89% to negative 514.12%. Overall PBIT margin rose from 23.67% to 31.69%.
Operating profit margin has jumped from 30.31% to 36.46%, leading to 74.71% rise in operating profit to Rs 81.80 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 45.76% to 34.58%. Employee cost increased from 10.56% to 15.83%. Other expenses fell from 15.86% to 13.27%.

Loan funds declined from Rs 30.34 crore as of 31 March 2023 to Rs 17.51 crore as of 31 March 2024. Inventories rose to Rs 46.04 crore as of 31 March 2024 from Rs 44.60 crore as of 31 March 2023. Sundry debtors were higher at Rs 64.18 crore as of 31 March 2024 compared to Rs 39.84 crore as of 31 March 2023. Cash and bank balance rose to Rs 13.29 crore as of 31 March 2024 from Rs 1.25 crore as of 31 March 2023.
PBDT rose 86.24% to Rs 79.04 crore. Provision for depreciation rose 29.98% to Rs 7.5 crore. Fixed assets increased to Rs 66.51 crore as of 31 March 2024 from Rs 39.81 crore as of 31 March 2023.
Profit before tax grew 95.09% to Rs 71.54 crore. Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 18.99 crore, compared to Rs 9.83 crore. Effective tax rate was 26.54% compared to 26.81%.
Minority interest was nil in both the periods. Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 95.79% to Rs 52.55 crore.
Equity capital increased from Rs 16.22 crore as of 31 March 2023 to Rs 48.65 crore as of 31 March 2024. Per share face Value remained same at Rs 2.00.
Promoters’ stake was 40.06% as of 31 March 2024 ,compared to 40.14% as of 31 March 2023 .
Cash flow from operating activities increased to Rs 65.18 crore for year ended March 2024 from Rs 1.67 crore for year ended March 2023. Cash flow used in acquiring fixed assets during the year ended March 2024 stood at Rs 22.27 crore, compared to Rs 10.25 crore during the year ended March 2023.
