During the month of July 2024, Retail sector’s Marketcap increased 63.67% to Rs 677810.19 crore, compared to 55.79% rise in total listed marketcap to Rs 46398770.88 crore.

Sector’s share of total listed marketcap moved to 1.46% in July 2024 from 1.39% in June 2023 and 1.27% in June 2022.


In terms of price appreciation in the sector, there were 30 gainers and 22 losers in the month of Jul 2024. The gainers accounted for 43.48% of sector companies, losers accounted for 31.88% of sector companies, while 17% remained unchanged.
