Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals for the quarter ended Jun 2024 has increased 13.90% to Rs 2137.69 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 9.90% to 10.87%, leading to 25.08% rise in operating profit to Rs 232.37 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 26.99% to 21.97%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 43.03% to 46.03%.   Employee cost increased from 7.43% to 7.59%.   Other expenses rose from 12.93% to 13.50%.   Other income rose 20.10% to Rs 23.78 crore.  PBIDT rose 24.60% to Rs 256.15 crore.  Provision for interest fell 24.55% to Rs 15.52 crore.  PBDT rose 30.07% to Rs 240.63 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 27.31% to Rs 37.15 crore.  Profit before tax grew 30.59% to Rs 203.48 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 51.13 crore, compared to Rs 33.79 crore.  Effective tax rate was 25.13% compared to 21.69%. Minority interest decreased 82.88% to Rs 0.63 crore.  Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 28.20% to Rs 151.72 crore.
