Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Josts Engineering Company for the quarter ended Jun 2025 has declined 1.47% to Rs 55.61 crore. Sales of MATERIAL HANDLING segment has gone up 18.31% to Rs 26.94 crore (accounting for 48.44% of total sales). Sales of ENGINEERED PRODUCCTS segment has gone down 15.64% to Rs 25.40 crore (accounting for 45.68% of total sales). Sales of MHE SUBSIDIARY segment fell 8.15% to Rs 3.27 crore (accounting for 5.88% of total sales). Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has slumped 40.86% to Rs 4.01 crore. PBIT of MATERIAL HANDLING reported loss of Rs 0.43 crore compared to profit of Rs 1.39 crore. PBIT of ENGINEERED PRODUCCTS segment fell 17.98% to Rs 4.15 crore (accounting for 103.49% of total PBIT). PBIT of MHE SUBSIDIARY segment fell 12.12% to Rs 0.29 crore (accounting for 7.23% of total PBIT). PBIT margin of MATERIAL HANDLING segment fell from 6.10% to 1.60%. PBIT margin of ENGINEERED PRODUCCTS segment fell from 16.81% to 16.34%. PBIT margin of MHE SUBSIDIARY segment fell from 9.27% to 8.87%. Overall PBIT margin fell from 12.01% to 7.21%. Operating profit margin has declined from 10.21% to 6.10%, leading to 41.15% decline in operating profit to Rs 3.39 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 16.99% to 13.43%. Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 46.38% to 54.73%. Employee cost increased from 13.07% to 13.31%. Other expenses fell from 13.56% to 12.86%. Other income rose 16.22% to Rs 0.43 crore. PBIDT fell 37.68% to Rs 3.82 crore. Provision for interest rose 353.85% to Rs 1.77 crore. PBDT fell 64.29% to Rs 2.05 crore. Provision for depreciation rose 63.74% to Rs 1.49 crore. Profit before tax down 88.41% to Rs 0.56 crore. Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 0.23 crore, compared to Rs 1.19 crore. Effective tax rate was 41.82% compared to 24.64%. Minority interest was nil in both the periods. Net profit attributable to owners of the company decreased 91.21% to Rs 0.32 crore. Promoters’ stake was 48.26% as of 30 June 2025 ,compared to 47.20% as of 30 June 2024 .
