Quarter ended June 2026 compared with Quarter ended June 2025.

Net sales (including other operating income) of Bajaj Auto has increased 65.14% to Rs 21688.83 crore.  Sales of Automotive segment has gone up 64.66% to Rs 20,799.55 crore (accounting for 92.95% of total sales).  Sales of Investments segment has gone up 14.05% to Rs 465.19 crore (accounting for 2.08% of total sales).  Sales of Financing segment rose 84.62% to Rs 1,111.95 crore (accounting for 4.97% of total sales).  

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 49.58% to Rs 4,502.78 crore.  PBIT of Automotive segment rose 51.50% to Rs 3,735.84 crore (accounting for 82.97% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Investments segment rose 13.80% to Rs 463.59 crore (accounting for 10.30% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Financing segment rose 121.41% to Rs 303.35 crore (accounting for 6.74% of total PBIT).  

PBIT margin of Automotive segment fell from 19.52% to 17.96%.  PBIT margin of Investments segment fell from 99.88% to 99.66%.  PBIT margin of Financing segment rose from 22.75% to 27.28%.  Overall PBIT margin fell from 22.07% to 20.12%.  

Operating profit margin has declined from 21.27% to 20.89%, leading to 62.24% rise in operating profit to Rs 4,531.15 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 61.58% to 61.07%.   Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 5.33% to 3.59%.   Employee cost increased from 3.98% to 6.39%.   Other expenses rose from 7.71% to 8.08%.   Preoperation capitalised expenses rose from 0.28% to 0.69%.   

Other income rose 35.14% to Rs 687.86 crore.  PBIDT rose 58.06% to Rs 5219.01 crore.  Provision for interest rose 73.11% to Rs 387.34 crore.  

PBDT rose 56.97% to Rs 4831.67 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 244.51% to Rs 404.83 crore.  

Profit before tax grew 49.52% to Rs 4,426.84 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 1234.66 crore, compared to Rs 750.21 crore.  Effective tax rate was 27.91% compared to 25.34%.

Minority interest was nil in both the periods.  Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 45.93% to Rs 3,225.63 crore.  

Promoters’ stake was 55.01% as of 30 June 2026 ,compared to 55.04% as of 30 June 2025 .  Promoters pledged stake was 0.01% as of 30 June 2026 ,compared to 0.01% as of 30 June 2025 .  


Full year results analysis.

Net sales (including other operating income) of Bajaj Auto has increased 23.36% to Rs 62905 crore.  Sales of Automotive segment has gone up 21.10% to Rs 60,530.43 crore (accounting for 93.00% of total sales).  Sales of Investments segment has gone down 9.46% to Rs 1,309.18 crore (accounting for 2.01% of total sales).  Sales of Financing segment rose 212.02% to Rs 3,247.61 crore (accounting for 4.99% of total sales).  

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 38.09% to Rs 14,211.75 crore.  PBIT of Automotive segment rose 37.02% to Rs 12,016.19 crore (accounting for 84.55% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Investments segment fell 9.47% to Rs 1,306.98 crore (accounting for 9.20% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Financing segment rose 1,037.02% to Rs 888.58 crore (accounting for 6.25% of total PBIT).  

PBIT margin of Automotive segment rose from 17.55% to 19.85%.  PBIT margin of Investments segment fell from 99.84% to 99.83%.  PBIT margin of Financing segment rose from 7.51% to 27.36%.  Overall PBIT margin rose from 19.61% to 21.83%.  

Operating profit margin has jumped from 20.53% to 20.76%, leading to 24.77% rise in operating profit to Rs 13,061.07 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 63.17% to 62.01%.   Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 5.96% to 5.21%.   Employee cost increased from 3.78% to 3.94%.   Other expenses rose from 6.56% to 7.95%.   Preoperation capitalised expenses rose from 0.19% to 0.22%.   

Other income rose 48.01% to Rs 2182.22 crore.  PBIDT rose 27.64% to Rs 15243.29 crore.  Provision for interest rose 200.49% to Rs 1168.59 crore.  Loan funds rose to Rs 22,713.15 crore as of 31 March 2026 from Rs 9,364.16 crore as of 31 March 2025.  Inventories rose to Rs 6,294.49 crore as of 31 March 2026 from Rs 2,077.36 crore as of 31 March 2025.  Sundry debtors were higher at Rs 3,473.44 crore as of 31 March 2026 compared to Rs 2,125.22 crore as of 31 March 2025.  Cash and bank balance rose to Rs 3,071.89 crore as of 31 March 2026 from Rs 2,847.60 crore as of 31 March 2025.  Investments declined from Rs 28,913.87 crore as of 31 March 2025 to Rs 24,642.18 crore as of 31 March 2026.  

PBDT rose 21.82% to Rs 14074.7 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 55.64% to Rs 644.69 crore.  Fixed assets increased to Rs 7,895.94 crore as of 31 March 2026 from Rs 3,665.72 crore as of 31 March 2025.  Intangible assets increased from Rs 71.67 crore to Rs 5,586.11 crore.  

Profit before tax grew 20.57% to Rs 13,430.01 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 3377.04 crore, compared to Rs 2898.8 crore.  Effective tax rate was 24.21% compared to 28.35%.

Minority interest was nil in both the periods.  Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 46.68% to Rs 10,744.21 crore.  

Equity capital increased from Rs 279.26 crore as of 31 March 2025 to Rs 279.50 crore as of 31 March 2026.  Per share face Value remained same at Rs 10.00.  

Promoters’ stake was 55.01% as of 31 March 2026 ,compared to 55.04% as of 31 March 2025 .  Promoters pledged stake was 0.01% as of 31 March 2026 ,compared to 0.01% as of 31 March 2025 .  

Cash flow from operating activities has turned positive Rs 2,596.60 crore for year ended March 2026 from negative Rs 1,405.57 crore for year ended March 2025.  Cash flow used in acquiring fixed assets during the year ended March 2026 stood at Rs 722.32 crore, compared to Rs 873.84 crore during the year ended March 2025.  

Other Highlights

The domestic business delivered double-digit growth across all segments in Q1 FY27, led by strong performance in both the two-wheeler (2W) and three-wheeler (3W) businesses across powertrains. The ICE business maintained its strong growth momentum, while electric vehicle (EV) revenue contribution increased to 30% of domestic revenue, nearly doubling from the year-ago period.

Balance sheet remained robust, with surplus funds of over Rs 21,000 crores at the end of the quarter, positioning the company well for investing sufficiently behind competitive growth and strategic priorities.

In Q1 FY27, domestic two-wheeler volume increased 11% to 5,86,547 units compared to Q1 FY26. Domestic CV volume increased 13% to 1,19,531 units, exports two-wheeler volume increased 52% to 6,36,005 units and exports CV volume increased 69% to 96,168 units on YoY basis.
