Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals for the quarter ended Dec 2023 has increased 11.64% to Rs 1692.69 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 10.05% to 8.85%, leading to 1.70% decline in operating profit to Rs 149.80 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 23.75% to 23.30%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 42.69% to 45.04%.   Employee cost decreased from 9.13% to 8.39%.   Other expenses rose from 14.06% to 14.65%.   Other income fell 21.74% to Rs 16.67 crore.  PBIDT fell 4.16% to Rs 166.47 crore.  Provision for interest fell 26.82% to Rs 21.53 crore.  PBDT rose 0.46% to Rs 144.94 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 9.43% to Rs 32.48 crore.  Profit before tax down 1.86% to Rs 112.46 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 27.01 crore, compared to Rs 26.4 crore.  Effective tax rate was 24.02% compared to 23.04%. Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 0.87% to Rs 85.99 crore.  

Net sales (including other operating income) of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals has increased 5.38% to Rs 5351.81 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 11.13% to 9.53%, leading to 9.79% decline in operating profit to Rs 510.09 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 25.72% to 25.58%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 42.25% to 43.71%.   Employee cost decreased from 8.10% to 8.00%.   Other expenses rose from 12.78% to 13.43%.   Other income rose 2.68% to Rs 51.35 crore.  PBIDT fell 8.77% to Rs 561.44 crore.  Provision for interest fell 22.21% to Rs 63.63 crore.  PBDT fell 6.71% to Rs 497.81 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 9.66% to Rs 93.78 crore.  Profit before tax down 9.84% to Rs 404.03 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 95.68 crore, compared to Rs 96.87 crore.  Effective tax rate was 23.68% compared to 21.93%. Minority interest was nil in both the periods.  Net profit attributable to owners of the company decreased 12.55% to Rs 301.56 crore.  

Sales of electric consumer durables segment has gone up 13.02% to Rs 3,876.20 crore (accounting for 72.43% of total sales).  Sales of lighting products segment has gone down 8.02% to Rs 717.05 crore (accounting for 13.40% of total sales).  Sales of Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Limited segment fell 12.77% to Rs 758.56 crore (accounting for 14.17% of total sales).  

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has slumped 11.93% to Rs 635.88 crore.  PBIT of electric consumer durables segment fell 8.79% to Rs 521.37 crore (accounting for 81.99% of total PBIT).  PBIT of lighting products segment rose 14.36% to Rs 80.26 crore (accounting for 12.62% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Limited segment fell 57.32% to Rs 34.25 crore (accounting for 5.39% of total PBIT).  

PBIT margin of electric consumer durables segment fell from 16.67% to 13.45%.  PBIT margin of lighting products segment rose from 9.00% to 11.19%.  PBIT margin of Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Limited segment fell from 9.23% to 4.52%.  Overall PBIT margin fell from 14.22% to 11.88%.
