During the month of July 2022, Plantation & Plantation Products sector's Marketcap increased 13.96% to Rs 93839.89 crore, compared to 9.58% rise in total listed marketcap to Rs 26746947.78 crore.

Sector's share of total listed marketcap moved to 0.35% in July 2022 from 0.34% in June 2022 and 0.37% in July 2021. 



In terms of price appreciation in the sector, there were 23 gainers and 10 losers in the month of Jul 2022. The gainers accounted for 56.10% of sector companies, losers accounted for 24.39% of sector companies, while 8% remained unchanged.

The top 3 gainers were GRP              (31.18% gain), Bansisons Tea    (27.07% gain) and Rossell India    (21.98% gain).

The 3 losers at the bottom were Joonktolle Tea   (-5.76% fall), James Warren Tea (-5.53% fall) and ApcotexIndustri (-5.19% fall).

During the month Warren Tea Ltd, Cochin Malabar Estates & Industries Ltd, Apcotex Industries Ltd and Norben Tea & Exports Ltd announced their results. Of these Apcotex Industries Ltd and Norben Tea & Exports Ltd reported rise in net profit attributable to shareholders.

FIIs reduced their shareholding in Tata Consumer Products Ltd from 25.34% to 25.30%, Elgi Rubber Company Ltd from 0.04% to 0.00%, Mcleod Russel India Ltd from 2.21% to 2.12%, Harrisons Malayalam Ltd from 0.41% to 0.14%, Jay Shree Tea & Industries Ltd from 5.27% to 4.93% and CCL Products (India) Ltd from 8.19% to 5.80%.

DIIs increased their shareholding in CCL Products (India) Ltd from 18.55% to 21.24%, Tata Coffee Ltd from 4.29% to 4.83%, Rossell India Ltd from 1.24% to 1.76%, Tata Consumer Products Ltd from 13.21% to 13.53% and Apcotex Industries Ltd from 0.02% to 0.11%. Promoters increased their shareholding in PeriaKaramalai Tea & Produce Company Ltd from 55.26% to 55.95%, Rishiroop Ltd from 73.17% to 73.31%, Apcotex Industries Ltd from 58.15% to 58.20%, NeelamalaiAgro Industries Ltd from 71.24% to 71.26% and Pix Transmission Ltd from 61.78% to 61.80%. Promoters reduced their shareholding in GRP Ltd from 41.58% to 41.49%.
